On July 5, the Wulingyuan Tourism Ecological Police Center of the Zhangjiajie Public Security Bureau in Hunan Province issued a warning to a hotel in Wulingyuan District for failing to register guest accommodation information as required by law.
Real-name registration is mandatory for all guests checking into hotels and guesthouses. However, some hotel and guesthouse operators disregard these laws and face penalties.
During a routine inspection on July 5, the Wulingyuan Tourism Ecological Police Center found that a hotel in Wulingyuan District had incorrectly registered several mandatory fields for three foreigners on June 16. Upon discovering the issue, police officers immediately informed the hotel manager of the problems and provided on-site training on how to correctly register foreign guests. They also distributed educational materials to the staff.
In accordance with the law, the public security authorities issued an official warning to the hotel.
